With an incredible view of Mazzarò beach, a few steps from Taormina, known as “the pearl of Sicily”, Villa Mazzarò is a glamourous Villa perfect for stylish holidays in one of the most sought-after pieces of coastline in Sicily.
The property, with private entrance, extends over an area of about 250 square meters, with terraces and independent studios as well. The main house is spread over two levels offering large, well-kept outdoor spaces, a swimming pool overlooking the sea and a jacuzzi.
The cable car to the centre of Taormina and to the beach is just a couple of minutes’ walk away. What more could you ask for?
The apartments are divided between the Villa itself and five studio apartments for up to 16 guests.
The absolute protagonist of the villa is the carved stone fireplace decorated with majolica tiles in the living room. The white sofas and modern furnishings are well balanced with the fireplace and the tiling, omnipresent throughout the villa, making the style modern and at the same time linked to the ancient Sicilian tradition. The very well equipped kitchen perfectly reflects the typical Sicilian style and opens onto a comfortable dining area. A bathroom is also available on the lower floor.
Elegant majolica steps lead to the upper floor which houses three bedrooms, one en-suite, the other two double bedrooms share a bathroom with a double washbasin. All of the rooms lead onto a large panoramic terrace.
The 5 modern studios, all with either a balcony, terrace or private garden with sea view are comfortably furnished in a simple yet functional style. Three studios of 45 sq.m provide double en-suite bedrooms, living zone with sofa bed and fully equipped kitchen. One of the studios also has a private garden and panoramic sea view.
The remaining studio is located just above the swimming pool and has one bedroom, living room with sofa bed, bathroom with shower, fitted kitchen and a sea view terrace furnished with outdoor chairs and coffee table.
The outdoor spaces offer comfortable sunbeds and sofas, a large dining area to enjoy dining al fresco in the long summer evening, elegant loungers and pouffes in the area of relax close to the pool, and a nice Jacuzzi which can accomodate up to 6 people. A barbecue and outdoor kitchen are also available next to the swimming pool.
All of the apartments have an outside area, either a balcony or a terrace complete with outdoor furniture.

Villa Mazzarò is the right spot for your holiday in one of the most popular destinations in Europe, mentioned even by Goethe in his Grand Tour.
Taormina’s notoriety is due to its splendid position which affords wonderful panoramic views and a particularly mild climate, reason why this little town became a much sought after winter destination for the European nobility in the past.
During your stay at Villa Mazzarò, besides the beautiful town of Taormina, you’ll have the possibility to visit an area of Sicily which has much to offer. Apart from the beautiful beaches, Isola Bella and Giardini Naxos, this is the area of Mount Etna with its greenery and picturesque villages on its slopes. Not far is the Alcantara River Park with its Basalt Gorges, a wonder of nature that is a must-see destination.
While in Taormina, we recommend a stroll in the public gardens, a visit to the ancient Greek theatre, a walk in Corso Umberto and through the narrow streets of the city center shopping for fine pottery and jewels, clothes and souvenirs. Then, for a nice rest, sit at a street café savouring a typical “Sicilian granita” and brioche, or the superb cassata siciliana.
In about 40 minutes by car you can reach Catania with its ancient fish market (La Pescheria) and the numerous monuments of the historical center.
The Villa is also within easy day-trip range of ancient Syracuse and the UNESCO World Heritage Late Baroque towns of Noto, Modica, Ragusa and Scicli.
Syracuse is a fascinating and evocative place that preserves in every corner evidence of its great past with a mix of Greek, Roman, and Baroque buildings. Not to be missed!
Not far from Syracuse, the spectacular cave necropolis of Pantalica.
The Late Baroque cities of Val di Noto are within a 2 hour drive by car.
At an hour and a half’s drive the famous “La villa del Casale” in Piazza Armerina, with its 3500 square meters of mosaic floors it is the most important testimony of life in Roman times.
Furthermore, we also suggest a day trip to the Aeolian Islands, these beautiful “seven sisters”, included in the World Heritage Sites, will leave you speechless for their rugged beauty, wonderful beaches and their incomparable variety of marine life.
