La Casina is a beautiful, large and comfortable seaside house, immersed in the countryside next to Belice River Nature Reserve.
It offers direct access to one of the most beautiful, quiet and secluded beaches of the Sicilian Coast, a real oasis by the sea.
The house is finely decorated showing the great taste of the owners who widely mixed natural materials like wood and stone with natural colourful fabrics and some vintage design elements. The result is a beautiful boho-chic decoration with a typical island touch.

Inside

The villa is made of a large building all in one floor and features three large and comfortable bedrooms and three bathrooms.
A nice, small porch connects the two areas of the building, living and sleeping area. The entrance leads to the living room small and cosy, tastefully decorated with light and bright colours; it offers a TV screen, bookshelves, sofa and seats together with a dining area.
The bedrooms can be accessed by large French doors from the garden, all rooms have sea view and direct access to the outdoor areas. One room features a private bathroom and the other two share the second bathroom of this area.
A third bathroom can be found close to the living area, it also includes the washing machine.

Outside

From the living area is possible to access the nicely furnished shaded terrace, that features a table for 6 to enjoy al fresco dinners.
A nice stroll to the vines brings to the gate at the bottom of the garden, from where a 200m-long path leads down, across countryside, to a gorgeous sandy beach mostly quiet also in the hot summer days of July and August.
Refreshing summer breezes, a shaded terrace surrounded by the typical Mediterranean flora and never-ending views from the vineyard to the sea.
La Casina is a perfect retreat for those looking for a relaxing, peaceful holiday a few steps from the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.

La Casina is situated in a splendid position between Menfi (AG) and Selinunte (TP) close to the Belice river Nature Reserve where long sandy beaches with dunes lay.
This is an area where to enjoy good food and wine all year round.

Castelvetrano, which is about 10 km away, is well known for its olive oil production as well as its medieval town center with plenty of shops and restaurants.
Menfi, just 6 km far, houses some of the most important wineries of Sicily such as Planeta and Mandrarossa where it’s possible to go for a visit and wine tasting.
The amazing Selinunte Archaeological Park, few kilometers away from the villa, with an extension of about 377 hectares is one of the largest sites in the Mediterranean. It has a remarkable archaeological heritage, characterized by a large number of temples of impressive Doric architecture.
The temples are also visible from the amazing sandy beaches in Marinella di Selinunte where you can swim while looking at the temples, this is definitely something unique you’ll never forget!

Not far from Castelvetrano/Selinunte area there is another archaeological site that cannot be missed when travelling in this part of the island, Segesta, with one of the best-preserved Greek temples in Europe.
Driving towards north along the coastline is possible to reach Trapani with its famous Salt Pans and the medieval, hill-top village of Erice, both easily reachable in an hour by car.
Driving a little further you can reach San Vito Lo Capo and Zingaro Nature reserve, a gem with beautiful unspoilt beaches. In this area we suggest you not to miss the typical “pani cunzatu” and “cassatelle”!

Talking about sandy beaches and dunes, not to be missed Lido Fiori and Portopalo in Menfi (AG) that have received the Blue Flag 16 years in a row, for the cleanliness of their water and high environmental standards.

For bicycle lovers, it is possible to enjoy a trip throughout the old disused railway track between Castelvetrano and Sciacca, now turned into a cycling path.
Sciacca, is a delightful little town well known for its Carnival celebrations, craft corals and pottery where to find also very nice restaurants and shops whitin easy reach.

Palermo city with its numerous attractions is also reachable in about 1 hour and a half driving.
Last but not least, Agrigento with the famous Valley of the temples, easily reachable in an hour and 15 minutes by car.

A wonderful stay at La Casina!

We have visited the South West region of Sicily many times previously but have never stayed in such a perfect spot. Our holiday was truly enhanced by the help of the wonderful team at Select Sicily. From the moment we booked the house for the duration of the stay until our departure they could not have been more helpful. For example they provided recommendations of restaurants, local advice and even met us at pharmacy to act as an interpreter. The house was very comfortable for our family and had the perfect position of being very close to the beach where we could have evening swims under magical sunsets but it also had a lovely rural feel sitting amongst the fields of vines. We would highly recommend the house and Select Sicily for your holiday.

Our stay in La Casina couldn’t be better. Perfect location and perfect villa. One of the best of our large number of Italy experiences.

Soggiorno a "La Casina"

Da tempo ci affidiamo, per la loro notevole professionalità, a Select Sicily in persona del Dottor Morici e del suo team per le nostre vacanze in Sicilia. Su loro suggerimento quest’anno abbiamo scelto la villa “LA CASINA” a Selinunte. Ampia e bellissima struttura; bene attrezzata: con giardino, patio, piscina e discesa al mare tra i vigneti. Spiaggia nella riserva del Belice molto bella e poco frequentata; tra le attrazioni locali da segnalare sicuramente l’acropoli di Selinunte. Esperienza fantastica!
