Description
Casa Melograno II is surrounded by the most amazing views of the unspoilt Sicilian countryside. It is positioned in an excellent location for enjoying both a country and seaside holiday. The lovely village of Selinunte with the largest archaeological park in Europe and its beautiful sandy beaches is just 10 km away where you can find beach bars and restaurants.
Inside
This is a small but very unique rural home which has been lovingly restored. The property has a very modern feel to certain aspects of it whilst in contrast, there are also elements of a rural Sicilian cottage that it once was.
The soft colours of the walls and mellow beams in the open-plan dining/kitchenette/living area are complemented outside with wooden canopies and window shutters. The views from the lounge through its feature glass walls are stunning across the open countryside and add a particular atmosphere to the interior.
A double bedroom and a twin bedroom have doors opening onto the terrace. A seperate modern bathroom with shower complete this comfortable and airy interior.
This house is one of three which sit side by side on this large tranquil estate.
Outside
The large terrace area is tastefully furnished and is complete with a covered pergola for al fresco meals, allowing you to appreciate the view across the olive groves to the coast.
Just a short walk from the house down a few steps a beautiful modern pool 3m x 9m and sundeck which are encircled by olive trees and lavender bushes adds comfort and character to its rural simplicity.

The Area
Casa Melograno II is located just 10 km far from the largest archaeological park in Europe and it is close to some of the most beautiful beaches of Sicily’s western coast.
Selinunte Acropolis, once a large settlement at the westernmost reaches of Magna Graecia, looms upon a low promontory above the sparkling Mediterranean.
A stunning view of the ruins can be had if you swim out from the beach at Marinella di Selinunte and look toward land.
Marinella di Selinunte is only 7 km away and it also offers many shops and restaurants as well as its famous sandy beach.
Within a short distance is Castelvetrano, a nice medieval town, well known for its olive-oil production and for the delicious black bread made with an ancient Sicilian durum wheat flour called “tumminia”. In the Castelvetrano Civic Museum the famous archaic-style, bronze statue of the “Efebo di Selinunte” is displayed.
The property is just 2 km far from the beach of Belice Nature Reserve and few more kilometres from the beautiful beaches of Portopalo and Lido Fiori. These beaches received the “Bandiera Blu” (Blue flag) award for their clear blue waters and high quality environmental standards.
The lovely seaside town of Sciacca is well known for its typically glazed craft pottery and coral jewelry work as well as for the Carnival celebrations. It is only 35 km away by car and you will also find a small commercial fishing harbor (fresh fish, anyone!) and fine, sandy beaches.
The most impressive group of monuments of all Magna Graecia are to be found in The Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, about an hour’s drive. It lies in a almost enchanted valley, full of almond blossom in February.
Within easy range are Trapani and Marsala. On the way between these two towns you simply must stop off at the Salt Pans Nature Reserve, take in the other worldly scenery and not fail to watch the sun setting over the sea. In Tapani it is also possible to board a hydrofoil or ferry and visit the Aegadi Islandsd Archipelago.
To enjoy a stunning view over Aegadi Islands and Trapani Salt Pans we suggest a trip to the pretty medieval town of Erice (751 m a.s.l.) which is well worth a visit!
A little bit further north is San Vito Lo Capo, which has a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars as well as its beautiful sandy beaches and the Zingaro Nature Reserve.
Finally, if you wish to visit a vibrant city full of art and culture, we suggest you spend a day in Palermo which is only one and a half hours by car!

Un merveilleux logement dans un environnement extraordinaire
Un merveilleux logement dans un environnement extraordinaire, paisible et empli de sérénité entre vignes et oliviers. La maison est pratique et parfaitement entretenue, idéale pour un couple avec un ou deux enfants. La piscine est entourée d'oliviers et la vue y est adorable. Le coucher du soleil sur la terrasse surplombant le paysage est un moment hors du temps. Comptez 15minutes pour rejoindre Selinunte, sa plage et ses restaurants. Nous avons été très gentiment accueillis et nous reviendrions avec un grand plaisir.

VERY recommendable!
My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay at Casa Melograno 2. Everything was spot on - the house, the view, the communication with SelectSicily. We cannot recommend this place enough. We are already planning a return visit in 2024 - this time bringing the larger family!

Diese Villa ist zu 100% weiterzuempfehlen
Das Haus ist ein Traum und sieht in echt noch schöner aus als auf den Fotos. Die Lage ist zwar etwas abgeschieden und nur über einen holprigen Feldweg zu erreichen (Auto Pflicht), aber genau das macht den Charme der Villa aus. Wir haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt, unsere Kontaktpersonen waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit, alles war perfekt. Diese Villa ist zu 100% weiterzuempfehlen.

Casa Melograno 2 is perfect for Lovers
Casa Melograno 2 is a villa with lots of privacy and beauty. We, two lovers, enjoyed it a lot. Only 3 km from an isolated public beach and with a gorgious panorama. Select Sicily's rep Aldo is very customer oriented and open-minded. We enjoyed every minute.

Melograno 2 - beautiful house and garden embedded in quiet surroundings for 4 Persons
We spent a fantastic week in the modern, beautifully furnished house with pool, surrounded by a gorgeous garden and with an incredible view over the valley with olive trees and citrus fruits. Perfect to relax! Thank you Aldo and Nino for your kind availability and services during our stay.

We had a great time at casa melograno 2 hosted from select sicily…it’s a perfect hideaway with everything you need…We got a lot of tips which made our stay unforgettable…the place has everything you need including all necessary tools in the kitchen as well as enough space to relax and a great pool…from here you can visit a lot of places…temples of selinunte, sciacca, Marsala we would recommend it for sure

Wunderschöne und gepflegte Unterkunft in der Nähe von Selinunte.
Das moderne und äusserst zeitgemässe Haus ist von einem riesigen wunderschönen Garten umgeben, welcher perfekt gepflegt ist. Im Haus selbst ist alles vorhanden, was man für den sorglosen Aufenthalt braucht. Selbst der Müll wird täglich abgeholt.
Da das Haus sehr auf dem Lande liegt, muss man - gerade ausserhalb der Saison - damit rechnen, dass wenige Restaurants offen haben und keine Nachbarn in den anderen Ferienhäuser in der Region sind. Um zum Haus zu gelangen ist ein Fahrzeug absolut notwendig. Idealerweise mit einem hohen Radstand.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und wurden bei Ankunft persönlich mit einer Flasche Wein und frischen Früchten begrüsst. Ebenso erhielten wir wertvolle Tipps für die Umgebung in Bezug auf Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

The villa in Selinunte is absolutely beautyful
The villa in Selinunte is absolutely amazing! Nice pool and fantastic views! All facilities that you need for a relaxing holiday. Aldo is very service minded and easy and fast to communicate with! We stayed for two weeks in the villa and would definitely book again next time in Sicily! We can really recommend this very nice house.

Wonderful house and excellent service!
We had a wonderful time in Casa Melograno II. It's a sober design house, very quiet, with every comfort you need on a holiday. We enjoyed the fantastic views on the countryside. Select Sicily offered a warm welcome and excellent service!

Beautiful house in an exceptional environment
The house is very beautiful, very clean and well equipped. There are different outdoor areas to enjoy throughout the day. The view of the vineyards and olive trees is superb. The pool is very nice. The region is very beautiful and allows to combine rest and relaxation and sightseeing and cultural. Everything was perfect.

Great villa in stunning landscape
We stayed at Melograno 2 villa, which exceeded our expectations. Communication and booking through Aldo was seamless and accommodating. He was very helpful, offered a lot of local tips and made us feel very welcome on our first day.
The villa itself was great, well equipped with everything we needed with even some complimentary supplies. The grounds were neat and tidy, well looked after. The pool and sunbathing area offered good privacy.
Whilst the villa is not on a main road and one has to drive up on a small local road to find it, it feels remote and quaint - perfect for a relaxing stay, whilst the nearby towns offer all the amenities, grocers, bakeries,etc, a short drive away.

BRILLIANT RELAXED SUNNY HOLIDAY
The villa would have to be the most stylish we have stayed in and the owners who lived close by were very supportive and provided every assistance to make for a very relaxed and enjoyable stay. The location provide wonderful views, was quiet and captured cooling breezes. Our son spent most of his time in the pool and the villa is close to a large uncrowded sandy beach. Forays to archaeological sites and ancient towns made for lots of variety. We would love to return.

SUN AND SERENITY.
Casa Melograno 2 is smallest of three houses on a plot of land that is akin to a plantation with the surrounding vineyards and olive groves. That said it can easily accommodate 4 or 5 people in comfort.
Let us start with the location, it is down a short track and as i said, it sits in the true Sicilian countryside. The mediterranean sea is in view and as the crow flies fairly close by and adds to the beautiful vista..
It is within reach of many of the local towns such as Sciacca if a little trip out is required.
The property has a electronic gate and although there are the three properties, they are all independent and give a good level of privacy and the pool in particular is completely private. The outside space is large and plenty of parking is available.
There is a covered eating area, further table and chairs and then the pool with a fantastic deck surrounding it. Everything is new and well designed and can be appreciated whilst you relax in the wonderful surroundings.
Internally the property is finished to the smallest detail and is big and spacious with plenty of storage throughout and ultra clean..
No expense has been spared. The windows tilt and turn as well as open fully.
Everything is here for a home from home down to a cheese grater and up to a dish washer.
The full height glazed living room is spectacular and allows to enjoy the view at all times of the day.
The garden is beautifully set out with plants and the only sounds through the day are the birds and literally the bees.
So, if you want a touch of luxury in a beautiful position with the time to set yourself to complete repose then this completely fulfils your hopes.
It did it for us.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL HOUSE IN AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING LOCATION
This is absolutely beautiful house in an absolutely stunning location, near sea beach nature reserve lovely little fishing village and ancient sites with all needs met . The hillside allows for cooling breeze before going into the clean pool. The people were very nice and obliging with very prompt response to any teething problems with new Milan designed villa . Aldo the host was great , discreet and helpful in every way . Strongly recommended , amazing value and I am sorry that it will inevitably very popular

WE HAD A REALLY GREAT TIME AT CASA MELOGRANO II.
We had a really great time at Casa Melograno, the house is comfortable and well-equipped, the pool is great for (necessary) refreshment, and the views from the big terrace are splendid. It’s quietly located, but close to the sea, small villages and supermarkets. Besides, Aldo was very helpful and friendly as were Nino and Alberto who are taking care of the property, even providing us with fresh herbs and fruits and vegetables from their garden. We would totally recommend the place!

Prestation de qualité, propriété très bien entretenue, vue magnifique. Le cadre conviendra à tous ceux qui désirent se ressourcer et profiter du calme. Situé en pleine nature, loin du brouhaha des hôtels, des clubs et de la ville, seuls les cloches des brebis viendront troubler la sérénité du lieu.

Beautiful Villa Fabulous Views
This spacious villa is perfect for a family or a group of 4/5 people. The villa is very well kept, spotless and very tastefully decorated inside and out. Villa offers great privacy. It is located approximately 10km from Selinunte. Castelvetrano,Menfi and Portopalo are all located nearby. Car is essential if staying here. Select Sicily and Aldo were very easy to deal with and very accommodating.

EXCELLENT VILLA
Excellent villa with great views of the Sicilian countryside. Modern, quiet, clean and well-equipped. Close to beautiful beaches (Porto Palo, Marinella de Selinunte). Perfect for families with children (the swimming pool is spectacular!). We strongly recommend the property.
