BDR House

BDR House is certainly one of the most interesting and enjoyable rental properties in Mazara del Vallo’s old town centre. This old building is right in the centre of Mazara’s unique and famous Kasbah. The atmosphere is very particular, quiet and peaceful at any hour of the day – the narrow streets of this Arab quarter almost impede the passage of cars, furthermore, every day it is possible to hear the Muezzin, the call reminding the Islamic faithful to pray, all this creates sensations really difficult to find elsewhere, the owner loves to say that this place transmits serenity. The lovely “Piazza della Repubblica” is right nearby which leads to the Mazara seafront and a series of fascinating narrow streets full of shops, restaurants and bars.

The owner has renovated and furnished the apartment tastefully and with attention to detail, the interior is set out on two floors. From a splendid ground floor atrium a flight of steps leads to the first floor, here we find the large entrance hall, two double bedrooms, each with en-suite toilet/shower room, a living room with small cooking area and a comfortable study/drawing room. A second flight of stairs leads to the floor above and a large living area and modern kitchen which give onto a large, magnificently furnished terrace. A dining room, toilet and a small laundry room complete the second floor. The large, furnished terrace allows outdoor living at any time of day though it is particularly lovely in the evening for dining or simply a drink al fresco.

The unique setting, a walk to the sea and nearby shops, restaurants and bars make BDR House a fantastic base for all those who want to spend a few days holiday visiting this part of the island.
